Singapore Mint Unveils SG60 Souvenir Collection to Celebrate Nation’s 60th Anniversary

Singapore Mint has launched an exclusive SG60 souvenir collection in honor of the nation’s 60th birthday, featuring an array of commemorative items including medallions, silver ingots, gold-plated bookmarks, and unique collectibles such as Merlion blind boxes and kebaya-themed magnets.

Phased Release of SG60 Collectibles

The SG60 collection will be rolled out in phases throughout 2025, with most items available for purchase or pre-order on The Singapore Mint’s official website. Interested collectors can also find the collection at retail outlets in Chinatown Point, Suntec City Mall, and the Coin Gallery in Teban Gardens Crescent.

Three Themes: Heritage Districts, Merlion, and Kebaya

The SG60 collection celebrates Singapore’s history and culture through three central themes: Singapore’s heritage districts, the Merlion, and the kebaya.

Jalan Jalan Through Heritage Districts of Singapore

This segment of the collection highlights five historic districts – Changi, Jurong, Tiong Bahru, Toa Payoh, and Queenstown. The key items in this set include:

  • Medallions (S$100) – Made from 999 fine silver (31.1g), these limited-edition pieces (2,000 per design) feature present-day depictions of each district on one side and nostalgic representations of their past on the other.
  • Gold-Plated Bookmarks (S$15 each) – Circular-shaped bookmarks with colorful illustrations of the five districts.

Timeless Merlion Collection

Singapore’s iconic Merlion takes center stage in this series, which includes:

  • Dazzling Merlion Ingot (S$120) – Crafted from 999 fine silver (31.1g), this collector’s item features an ultra-high relief Merlion design and an individual serial number prefixed with “SG60.”
  • Merlion Blind Box (S$16.90) – Featuring three surprise tiers: four silver designs, two rose gold designs, and an ultra-rare 24K gold-plated version. Each medallion doubles as a keychain.
  • 24K Merlion Gold Frame (S$45) & 24K Gold Foil Merlion Mini Figurine (S$45) – Exclusive collector’s items showcasing the nation’s beloved mascot.

Kebaya: Threads of Cultural Beauty

Honoring Singapore’s first multinational UNESCO inscription, the kebaya-themed collection celebrates Southeast Asia’s shared cultural heritage. The set includes:

  • Seven-Piece Colored Magnet Display Set (S$70) – Featuring seven kebaya styles with interchangeable blouses and skirts, reflecting the artistry and identity of the region.
