In celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday, Mandai Wildlife Group has unveiled a line-up of exciting new programmes and special offers designed to engage the community and bring visitors closer to nature. Under the Mandai is Wild about SG initiative, guests can look forward to up-close animal encounters, immersive activities, and exclusive SG60 discounts from May to August 2025.
Up-Close Encounters with Capybaras, Penguins, and More
Starting 7 June 2025, visitors can enjoy Hello from the Wild, a unique 20-minute experience that allows direct interaction with some of Mandai’s most beloved animal residents. Held at River Wonders and the Singapore Zoo, guests can meet capybaras, fennec foxes, and ring-tailed lemurs while learning about their personalities and care routines.
These sessions include feeding opportunities and hands-on enrichment activities such as preparing foraging challenges, offering a deeper understanding of the animals’ behaviours and Mandai’s commitment to their well-being.
Later this year, a special wallaby edition of Hello from the Wild will debut at Night Safari, adding even more diversity to the line-up of animal experiences.
Backstage Pass: Penguin Encounters at Bird Paradise
Also launching on 7 June is Backstage Pass: Penguin Encounters, a behind-the-scenes tour at Bird Paradise. Guests will meet the king, gentoo, and northern rockhopper penguins in their cold habitat, typically closed to the public. Participants will learn about penguin care, feeding routines, and how keepers maintain the health and happiness of these fascinating birds.
From 18 July 2025, a brand-new VR experience at Ocean Network Express Penguin Cove will further immerse visitors in the icy world of penguins, blending education with interactive technology.
Explore Digital Trails and Themed Itineraries
From 31 May to 10 August, guests can enjoy free access to specially curated digital trails, including Born to be Wild, which highlights native wildlife and recent newborns at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. For those unsure where to begin, Too Wild to Miss itineraries offer guided experiences to the park’s most iconic attractions, including the world’s first free-ranging orangutan habitat and the Pangolin Trail at Night Safari.
Family Fun at Wild Day Out
Returning on 28 and 29 June 2025, Wild Day Out at Mandai Wildlife West is a dog-friendly community event perfect for families. Enjoy nostalgic games like Five Stones, craft orchid postcards inspired by the Vanda Miss Joaquim, and take part in hands-on nature-inspired activities designed to bring people and wildlife closer together.
